Doug Keaney

Senior Management Consultant

Doug has a diversified work experience in different industries including automotive, manufacturing, food and beverage, environmental services, advanced printing. He led teams and worked on complex projects at both multinational corporations and small and medium enterprises over a 43-year career.

He worked for several years (25 years to be exact!) at industrial conglomerate 3M Canada in various management roles leading innovation pipelines and marketing initiatives to build 3M’s market presence in various verticals across Canada. He worked in various roles in the areas of business development, marketing, change management, operations management, and key account sales.

Doug then embarked on an advisory career where he worked closely with a number of Toronto area businesses over the next 20 years. He worked with companies of varying sizes, including start ups, advising them on business planning, market expansion, revenue growth strategies, and business financing.

Over the years, Doug has gained deep knowledge of various government funding sources – grants and loans -- available to companies of all sizes to scale and grow in domestic and international markets. He has guided hundreds of Canadian companies access low-cost federal and provincial funding to achieve their business objectives.

A graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, Doug lives in the beautiful Simcoe county with his wife Jill. He is a certified adult learning instructor and enjoys staying fit and going on long walks. He volunteers his services as an advisor to companies at MARS, RIC Centre and ICUBE.
