Irwin is a seasoned entrepreneur and the Principal Consultant of Indigo Consulting. Irwin oversees a team of management consultants based in Canada, India, Europe, and the United States, and manages key client relationships. He often leads strategy discussions with clients and helps them solve complex problems to achieve their business goals.

With over 26 years of experience, Irwin has provided strategic insights to business leaders across the globe and is often relied upon for thought leadership by company managements. He has earned his spurs as a management consultant with Besant Raj Consultants Ltd., a management consulting firm started by his father Dr. Besant Raj, an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Since establishing Indigo Consulting in Canada in 2008, Irwin has helped several Canadian companies successfully navigate foreign market entry and enabled CEOs to form strategic partnerships across the world.

A former banker, he started his career in Corporate banking at American Express Bank followed by a stint with HSBC India. He has extensive experience in Management Consulting, International Trade, Marketing & Sales. Irwin is also the President and CEO of Indigo Global Trading, a private label supplier of confectionary, cookies, snack food and breakfast products to retail chains and distributors in Canada and USA. The company’s private label products can be found in retail chains including Walmart, Loblaws, Costco, and Dollar Tree among others. Indigo also has an in-house brand – Swirly’s and markets a range of confectionary products to customers in Canada and the United States.

A graduate of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, one of India’s premier business schools, Irwin is well connected in the corporate circles of India, Europe, Canada and the USA.

He lives in Mississauga, Canada with his wife and two children. Irwin enjoys traveling, reading, an occasional set of tennis and escaping on long drives during his leisure time.
